10. Troubleshooting

Symptom Most likely cause What to check
BlenderSync tab not visible in Revit Add-in did not load Open Manage → Add-Ins in Revit to confirm the add-in is listed; check the session log for startup errors
Sync and Setup buttons are disabled No active license Open the License window and activate a license or start a trial
Sync commands became unavailable while Revit was open License expired or invalidated Open the License window to review and restore access
Check connection shows orange Server not running, wrong address, or timeout Confirm BlenderSync for Blender is running; verify the Server and Port in Setup
Check connection shows red Unexpected failure Check the session log for details
Selected sync does nothing No elements selected Select elements in Revit first, then click Selected
Capture returns nothing Server has no objects ready, or is not running Check the BlenderSync for Blender Connection panel; confirm the server is running
Captured families have wrong geometry Unit mismatch on the Blender side Geometry sent by BlenderSync for Blender must be in meters
LiveSync stops unexpectedly Transport failure or license lapse Check the status bar message; verify server connectivity and license state
Installer shows "No Revit installations found" Revit not installed or registry not readable Confirm Revit 2026 is installed; run the setup under the same Windows user account that installed Revit
Installer shows a version as "Not supported" Version is not Revit 2026 Only Revit 2026 is supported. Upgrade Revit or wait for an updated BlenderSync release.
